The Iconic Barbie Doll Now Has Baby Hairs
Barbie has received a few makeovers since she first debuted in 1959. She continuously wows us with her ability to stay up-to-date on the most current trends. Her latest makeover comes with the second iteration of the BMR1959 collection that arrived on June 25, and now, the iconic childhood doll has baby hairs.
The brand shared photos of the line to Instagram with the caption, "So fresh. So clean. So #Barbie. This second collection in the #BMR1959 line celebrates Barbie's fashion heritage by drawing inspiration from today's hottest streetwear trends. Which look is your favorite?"
For the collection, she is wearing a latex, two-piece crop top set in a bright orange shade and houndstooth-print blazer. She accessorizes with a pair of large bamboo-inspired gold earrings. Both the crop top set and earrings say "BMR" and "1959."
Barbie is extremely on-trend with her lavender-highlighted bright pink hair (as we've seen many adopt a rosy hue since the COVID-19 pandemic began). Her hair is slicked down and styled into three large buns. Her baby hairs match the pink and lavender shades and are swooped and swirled to perfection. We need the details on the edge control she is using because they are definitely laid.
Barbie's makeover doesn't stop there as her face is beat to match. She has a gorgeous stroke of silver eyeliner on her lower lash line that extends past the end of her eye, along with a shimmery, light pink lip.
